Numerous highlights & a special award – KRUMBEIN at Südback 2026

Südback opened its doors in Stuttgart from October 24 to 27, 2026. KRUMBEIN was there once again, showcasing innovative machinery solutions for modern bakery and pastry production. We’ve now wrapped up four days of the trade show filled with exciting conversations, new contacts, and practical insights.

Whether it was precise ultrasonic cutting, efficient snack production, or versatile solutions for cake manufacturing—our machines showed what they’re capable of.

The demonstrations generated a great deal of interest and provided ample opportunity for professional discussion, individual questions, and new ideas for visitors’ own production processes.

Outstanding Innovation: spreadROLL Wins the 2026 DBZ Trophy

A particular highlight of the trade show was our spreadROLL 400 being awarded the DBZ Trophy 2026. This award from the *Deutsche BäckerZeitung* recognizes particularly forward-looking innovations and creative solutions for the baking trade.

With its novel contact spreading process, the spreadROLL fills a gap that previously existed in automated snack production. Smooth spreads such as butter, mayonnaise, or remoulade can be applied evenly, over a wide surface area, and with consistent results to baked goods.
